At Gogsig, we believe that children get the best opportunities to move naturally when we work closely with professionals who know the body and movement. That's why we collaborate with skilled physiotherapists who recommend our barefoot shoes every day. They see how the shoes support the child's motor development, balance and strength - just as if the child were walking barefoot.
Why do we collaborate with physiotherapists?
Natural movement requires knowledge
Physiotherapists are experts in the body's functions and development. When they choose to recommend Gogsig barefoot shoes, it is because our shoes give children the right conditions for:
-
Healthy foot development - space for the toes and flexible soles that strengthen the muscles.
-
Better balance and coordination - zero drop and lightweight materials that follow the body's natural movements.
-
Freedom to play and learn - shoes that feel like bare feet, but protect against cold and ground.
Barefoot shoes created in collaboration with professionals
We are constantly developing our shoes based on knowledge and experience from physiotherapists. This ensures that your children get shoes that are not only beautiful and durable – but also contribute to health, strength and freedom of movement.
Nina briefly explains why Gogsig is a brand she recommends.
She has a particular focus on the impact of incorrect footwear on the entire musculoskeletal system, and is focusing on this more. That's why she has developed a course for parents, grandparents and anyone interested, so they get the tools and knowledge to be able to choose the right shoes and feel confident in their decision. - Find out more about Nina here.

- Recommendation from a physiotherapeutic perspective
"As a physiotherapist, it is very important to me that children's feet develop healthily. Children's feet are soft, malleable and completely unique - therefore each individual foot should also be given the space and freedom necessary to develop optimally.
Barefoot shoes are a great option for this because they don't squeeze your feet and allow natural movement. The shoes from the young Danish brand Gogsig in particular convince me: They are made of high quality, have a great design and - most importantly - they are flexible and give your toes plenty of room.
What parents should pay particular attention to in my experience: Always choose shoes based on the actual measurements and not just the stated size. Every foot is different - and not every shoe automatically fits every foot. Although the models from Gogsig are excellent, parents should always individually check whether the shape and measurements really fit their child's feet.
Healthy children's feet are the foundation for the joy of movement - both now and in the future. That's why it pays to choose the right footwear from the start. The models from Gogsig are a really good choice here.
You can also find more tips and information on the subject in my book “Healthy feet - from the start” . Here I have collected a lot of practical experiences and easy-to-understand knowledge - perhaps exciting reading for all parents who want to support their children's feet in the best possible way right from the beginning."
Nina lives in Germany and is a skilled physiotherapist, we are really happy to collaborate with!
